TARA: temperature aware online dynamic resource allocation scheme for energyoptimization in cloud data centres

Cloud data centres, which are characteristic of dynamic workloads, if not optimized for energy consumption, may lead to increased heat dissipation and eventually impact the environment adversely. Consequently, optimizing usage has become a hard requirement in today's cloud centres wherein major part consumption is mostly attributed computing cooling systems. Motivated by this paper proposes an online algorithm resource allocation, namely, temperature aware allocation (TARA). TARA demonstrates novel design adapt based on centre using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Also, new reclaim strategy making efficient allocations leading consumptions environments. The proposed provides optimal considering efficiency without being overwhelmed workloads. energy-efficient workloads optimizes consumption. We show through theoretical analysis correctness, optimality bounds given as $TARA(P) \leq 2OPT(P)$, relative solution provided offline $(OPT(P))$. empirical that method significantly saves 26\% when utilization 100\% compared batched reclaim. performance shows significant improvement efficiency. can be used multiple areas on-demand like virtual machine creation, migrations, resources assignment elastic applications.
